bay guy Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 My DW and I just returned from an extended cruise on which she became ill and had significant medical costs through the ship's medical clinic. Luckily, we had travel insurance through Travel Insured International. I filed the claim about 1 week ago and their rep called me today tonite that they were paying the claim. She also mentioned that I'd made an error in the dollar amount of the claim and I was to be paid about $70 more than what I filed for!!! When you get a policy, pay the few extra dollars it costs to make your travel insurance the primary payer for claims so you don't have to file with your regular health insurance first, have that denied and then file with the travel company. It's encouraging to know that they discovered an error in your favor and did not ignore it. I did purchase primary coverage as well. Thank you for your post!
