First time booking a Disney Cruise...unsure about the inside cabins

My family of 4 (myself, DH, DS9 and DS5) are about to book our very first Disney cruise on the Magic for a Marvel Day at Sea adventure! We are very excited.

Due to budget, we know we are going to stick with an inside cabin. Our choices are a deluxe inside on deck 1 or a standard inside on deck 7. I was all about the deluxe with the split bathroom and more space. But being on deck 7 and being closer to the pools and free soda and further from the docking/engine noise also seems important. I just can't decide! Please help!

Which deck you're on doesn't make much difference as far as being close to things unless you intend to always take the stairs. Even then, deck one is closer to the MDRs, atrium, etc. I would go for the deluxe with the split bathroom, especially with 4 people.
