Are there different backdrops for formal nights, we only have carnival formal night to compare with & they had different backdrops for those nights or are the backdrops all Disney Themed

Yes, there are different backdrops for formal nights. Some have Disney themeing, but not a lot. A sunset background with Disney ship and plain black background are two I can recall.

There are usually several backgrounds on several (if not all) nights. On European cruises, there are often port-themed backgrounds. You simply get in line by the background you want. Often, there are also photos being taken by the atrium statue.
