Egypt with Viking - is it safe?

We are following any Egypt threads closely as we are booked on Uniworld for 2/2/19 with their pre trip to Petra, Hopefully everything is the area remains calm.

We have not purchased insurance but are strongly considering it.

One question did they take credit cards for all of the optional add on tours (Abu Simbel, light shows)???

Yes, credit cards are accepted. Best to use a card with no foreign transaction fees.
