How to Connect the Camera to the Spotting Scope

Recommended Posts

One may need to take a good care and may take few minutes to rightly connect the camera relying on the process and the equipment that one chooses to use, and a smartphone or a digital camera is all that one may need and this depends upon one’s choice, however, it is surprisingly easy to connect the camera. This is necessarily important to align the lens of the digital camera or the mobile phone with the eyepiece of the scope and users angle is also important since both of the two remain close. In order to get the quality picture, users may need to buy a commercial adapter which would be handy when the users are in trouble. To get the quality picture, first, the user must adjust the camera settings and then take a few snapshots.

FWIW, Nikon made an adapter that turns any lens into a spotting scope. It was cool an I use to have one. Stupid me I sold it for a huge profit in a moment of weakness.

I think you can find it from time to time on fleabay.

If anyone is interested in this, Google "Digiscoping".

There's a whole community out there that is darned near as fanatical as some camera owners.

BTW, smartphones are the new "thing" to mount on a spotting scope.

The adapter that you had, what is that name? If I know the name that will be very helpful for me.

Thank You.
