Beach near port in Nassau

Can anyone tell me how far it is to a beach in Nassau, we just fancy walking to somewhere from the port ?

We walked to British Colonial Hilton which had a beautiful beach and pool. I think its like $75 but that includes a food and drink voucher for $40. Nice outdoor dining, chairs and you can see the ship from there. Go to Resort for a day dot com. You can also read the reviews on it also thru Trip advisor

What kind of food was offered?

Junkanoo Beach is walkable as well. I was there last week and enjoyed it. It doesnt cost 75 dollars either.
