Viking Lyon & Provence River Cruise 2020

Hello, I am looking at booking this cruise in late April 2020. Starting the cruise in Lyon and ending in Avignon. We may want to stay 3 nights pre-cruise in Lyon and 3 nights post cruise in Avignon. From the city center in Lyon how easy is it to get to Viking's dock? From Avignon, how easy is it to book a transfer from Avignon to the airport in Marseille?

Train goes from Centreville station Avignon to the Airport in Marseilles. Booking a private car/limo/shuttle should be fairly simple because the airport is about an hour away. You might even be able to find more info on TripAdvisor. Also check out the Ports of Call section of these boards. it is a longshot but you may luck out.

We end in Lyon, so the map does not show where Viking docks in Lyon but maybe someone who is starting in Lyon has the answer on their MVJ and can give the location.

BTW, you don't need precise answers to all of these questions before you book the cruise since you won't be able to make air arrangements until 300 days prior to your scheduled return date. The airlines don't release schedules or open seats for booking until then. While you want to get the cruise part locked in quickly, you have plenty of time to decide pre- and post-cruise plans.

Viking can change where they dock so you need to use the dock info when you get your printed guide several weeks before you depart.
