Second Seating,

I am not leaning myself out of the window too much if I say that you have reason to wonder. October and November are actually the months when there is traditionally less water available than August and September, with groundwater levels also low. This year we started very early with that and according to a report published yesterday by the regional television station SWR the weather is unlikely to change for some time. The weather experts were hopeful during the recent days of rain, but are now predicting a "Goldener Oktober" with fantastic autumn colours and sunshine with mild temperatures. Such a steady weather situation will affect not only the Rhine but also the Danube and the Elbe.

November could well still be a tricky month, but moving into December we will hopefully be fine. Fingers crossed, many fingers!
