e-cigarettes at airport in Australia

Can anyone who uses e cigarettes to vape please advise if they can be brought into Australia -just the device if necessary and purchase the vapour here in ASustralia

I need to find out for visitors who are coming here to stay a few weeks and they vape

I've been in and out of Australia three or four times in the last year, Melbourne and Sydney, with my gear either in my pocket or handbag. Never had a problem, just get it out and show it when going through security, along with my cellphone etc. No problem bringing liquid in either, but that's usually in my checked-in bag.

However, I don't travel in or through Singapore, purely because vaping is illegal there. Pity, 'cos there are some nice cruises starting and/or finishing there.

Thank you for that Good to know that if my visitors do not go through Singapore they can bring an e cig But unfortunately the first lot are going to Singapore for 4 days first so probably they will have to either struggle or take back to ordinary cigarettes shame

NB: e-liquid containing nicotine is illegal to be sold in Australia. They will need to bring their own supply to last however long they will be away from home.

Ouch I still do not know if they have nicotine in the vapour that they use I will have to ask The governments say they want people to stop smoking and vaping is better than cigarettes but they then make it impossible to use e cigs

The jury's out on that. The concoctions used for the liquid come from various suppliers with fewer controls, and also contain chemicals.

It's a matter of faith as to whether it is better.
