What's included from Venchi with Deluxe Drink Pkg?

We were in yacht club and had the equivalent to the deluxe package I believe. Everything was included except the retail chocolates that are sold.

What is included at Venchi if you have the Deluxe Beverage package? What is NOT included at Venchi with the Deluxe Beverage package?

Is anything at all included at Venchi with the Classic package? Where do we get the cappuccinos & espressos if we just have this package?

I am still thinking of upgrading to Deluxe, if only to get real champagne!

I know the Grandes Marques Champers are not inc in any package but the $13 per glass Nicolas Feuillatte will do us fine, it's one we often buy & enjoy in France.

Venchi is not on the Meraviglia so no free crepes or good ice cream. Its a new vendor and have forgotten the name...Jaques something? The ice cream was delicious at $4.50 a scoop. Still get the free chocolate ship in YC.

Gelato is available on Meraviglia with the basic drinks package - just not in Jean-Philippe Maury venue.

The chocolate ship is a perk for Black Card members - not for being a YC guest.

So is it worth us trading up from Classic to De Luxe on the Davina-& can anyone say if Venchi is there too, or is there another cafe with gelato & special coffees.

I hate usual watery cruise ship ( Starbucks or American cona brewed type) coffee, just hoping the Italians have the real good stuff somewhere. Thanks

What itinerary are you doing on Divina? I can give a more detailed response to the upgrade question when I know where you're sailing.

There is no Venchi on Divina - only on the new Seaside-class ships. There is a specialist coffee shop on Divina; the Deluxe package covers everything on the menu there. However, you will get decent coffee even on the basic package.

So true about the wonderful array of goodies you get in YC!

The Venchi store is only on Seaside and Seaview. However, Venchi gelato is available on the pool deck on Divina as well as in the Piazza del Doge on deck 6.

Thank you for your kind comments. :)

Thanks Bea, we will be sailing from Miami in Caribbean. So the coffee is good even on Classic package...I was hoping so! And Venchi gelato even tho no actual,Venchi...is that inc on Classic too? If someone can tell me the Prosecco is good too perhaps I will stick to Classic( as long as someone from msc can find my mysteriously absent booking:eek:)

It only costs $8 pppd to upgrade to Deluxe on a US based sailing, which, IMHO, is well worth it for the extras that you get for that. I can't remember how much others were charged in Sterling for the upgrade, but it's been posted on here before - possibly £6-£7 - if you prepay. If you wait 'til you embark, you'll pay an extra 15% service charge, (plus it'll be in US$ - the onboard currency, so you'll be at the mercy of the exchange rate) so I'd push your TA to get it sorted if you do decide to upgrade.

The gelato is included in the Classic, but sundaes on the pool deck menu and in the Piazza are only included in the Deluxe. The sparkling wine included in the basic package is not bad - there's a choice of sweet or dry. However, champagne is included in the Deluxe package, not to mention your in-cabin mini-bar, restocked every day and room service items, plus higher end spirits and wines and all bottled beers (only Heineken bottled beer is included in the basic package).

Were you sailing on a Med itinerary, the upgrade would cost €24 (£21) pppd!!! That's why I asked where you were sailing.
