Seattle Pier 66 Taxi Stand

We are planning to take a taxi from Pier 66 to SeaTac. Can anyone who has been there recently please identify where the taxi stand is in relation to the cruise terminal? It appears there is very little room in front of the terminal for taxi’s to congregate. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

You are correct that there is a limited area for taxi line-up, but when a ship is at Pier 66, I have observed taxis arrive and depart on a regular basis.

If worse comes to worse, the Seattle Waterfront Marriott Hotel is just across the street and there almost always is a line-up of taxis there. And, if not, ask the Doorman to call one for you.

2 years ago they were lined up on Alaskan Way to the left as you came out of the Terminal, just past the driveway entrance to the pier. If you look at a map they line up where the harbor juts in right next to Alaskan Way. They would either load right there of pull up closer if they could.

As the PP said they depart and arrive on a regular basis.

We were just there on Sunday. As you exit the baggage claim area it’s a short stroll to the taxi area. There were several cabbies (not their cabs) standing in a group and once you inquired, the next cabbie brought down his car. We needed a special accommodation (9 peoples plus luggage) and was handled quickly.

We always use flatrateforhire.com and the rate is $37, less than a metered taxi. The last time we were in Seattle there was a huge taxi line. We called flat rate and they were there in less than 5 minutes. Lots of people were "unhappy" that we just walked out and almost immediately got into our taxi while they are just standing there.
