Disembark time

We will be onboard the Encore in October disembarking in Athens. We have arranged a private tour. We have currently asked the guide to meet us at 9am. Is that reasonable? Would an earlier time (8am) work?

I think 9am is fine. Gives you a chance to eat and then collect your bags before setting off to meet the guide. Why rush.....

It is hard to say. When we were aboard the Encore last fall, the disembark time was delayed--which shows that this CAN happen. If your guide does not mind waiting a bit in case of delay, your 9am time should work just fine.

It quite often happens that the ship is not ready for any disembarkation at 8 a.m. Strongly suggest you choose 9 as your time to be met.
