The deposit is very low and they may have a promotion on specific cruises. You also get extra OBC. And remember you can transfer it back to your TA in the UK and get an extra discount

that is interesting to know..so could we book on board and then transfer across to our TA for our cruise mile points ?

We booked at Christmas.....£50 pp deposit and £100 pp OBC (not combinable with military obc) transferred to our usual travel agent...

Yes you can, but only to the TA you booked that particular cruise with.

Hi on the same thread is there any additional incentive to book on board compared to the internet price?

Is there really any extra incentive to book another cruise onboard in comparison to the internet price low deposits don't particularly interest me but extra on board credit does ?

We have booked two Caribbean cruises on board the past two years and the extra OBC 350 each was excellent for a 14 night cruise.

The amount of OBC varies.....we booked a 35 night cruise inside cabin and got just £100 pp OBC....but still low deposit of £50 pp

The amount of OBC received depends on the duration of the cruise booked and varies from £25 to £100 per person.

We were on Oriana this Christmas and booked whilst onboard for the next, a 16 night cruise. We received £180 pp onboard credit plus car parking, we could have opted for £250 pp instead. The booking was transferred to our TA, we had no choice in that.

The booking doesn't have to be transferred to the same TA. You can book direct with P&O or you can have the booking marked for transfer to another TA but you need to have their ABTA number for this to happen. I comment from personal experience as we did exactly this on our last cruise.

The link never varies because that is agreed by Carnival plc by the board at the AGM any extra was a general offer which is nothing to do with booking onboard likewise with car parking.
