Cunard World Club Platinum Discounts

Hi - do you get a discount by being in the Cunard World Club Platinum level in terms of % off the cruise price or cabin credits or both? We usually book a balcony cabin. Thanks

There is usually a 5% discount for early bookings but those have expired for the moment.

Ah, OK, thanks v much - we are looking at a 2019 cruise to the Fjords and 5% off would be good.

The 5% discount for 2019 World & Exotic cruises finished on June 30th 2017, for the rest of 2019 it was 30th November 2017.

You can earn a larger discount than 5% by watching for sales (including the iffy "free upgrade" pricing) and gratuity-included promotions as well as asking a low-frills travel agent for a quote. My online TA routinely passes along a discount approaching 8-10%

One more point that may be worth mentioning. When Cunard does offer those 5% Cunard World Club discounts (typically for a few months after new schedules are released), they apply to all Cunard World Club members, not just Platinum or above. I think of that as more of a "Past Passenger" discount. As far as I know, achieving Platinum or Diamond status does not offer anything special with regard to discounts on fares.

I get 5% discount booking direct with Cunard through a work discount code. I always compare prices with lots of online and over the phone agents and rarely achieve a better price with an agent, usually just an offer of price match. Maybe I’m contacting the wrong ones but wish I knew who some of these agents are that are offering such discounts.
