Baha Mar Casino

Tables open during the day, yes. No idea about limits but they have a special high limit area that is staffed well at the tables. It's the largest casino in the Caribbean. I've stayed at Baha Mar multiple times. You can definitely get lunch. I HIGHLY recommend the outside restaurant near the pool. I think it's called The Palms.

Swimming Pig is the pub inside. Honestly, it's outrageously overpriced and the food very mediocre with even more mediocre service. Outside restaurant was better in every way. There is also a little food truck near the pier next to the beach. It's very reasonably priced but limited and nothing special. But it's kind of nice eating lunch on the beach.

Katsuya is right there in the casino as well, it just opened and I haven't been there yet. It's a high end sushi restaurant.

OK, now I am confused about where this place is.

If you can take the #10 bus I would guess it's on Cable Beach. But then, I just read a post that said it's just down the road from Atlantis on Paradise Island.

BahaMar is at Cable Beach. It's about 4 miles from port.. between Breezes and Melia.

Atlanitis is on Paradise Island.. In the other direction.

Number 10 jitney will drop you off nearby. Taxi should be $18 for 2 ppl.

Went in early December on my cruise stop. Very easy to get the #10 bus. Driver left us off in front and you cross the road and walk up drive. One of the locals that got off the bus was directing us to cross the street - very sweet. Casino was very nice. Free drinks while playing. My husband likes to play Let it Ride and they were opening the table at noon. Blackjack tables were open. Table limits were $10 minimum and they had a big variety of slot machines. It's a beautiful place and would love to go back and stay. I wish I had remembered to eat outside. My husband got a bite to eat at the Swimming pig and it was just ok and pricey. I wish had remembers to eat outside!!! We left around 4:00 pm to return to ship and the concierge directed us to take their shuttle over to Melia where we could catch the bus. As it turned out, bus was coming down the street and the shuttle driver caught up to him for us. Enjoyed our short visit and would love to go back and stay.

Too bad you forgot to head outside! Swimming Pig is very expensive and very mediocre. There is also an airstream food truck next to the pier, which is reasonably priced and decent.

Just a quick update ... We were there last week and witnessed security asking a family of cruisers to leave after they apparently got by security at the door and ventured outside by the pools. Don't know how they knew, but it was surely embarrassing to be asked to leave..

I don't recommend trying to use the property without permission. It's trespassing.

How much of the property can you see if your not staying there? Is it still possible to go to the Palms for lunch without getting asked to leave?

I've gone to hotels and looked around at the pool area.

If I see someone I ask permission, but have never been denied.

If there are wrist bands to get in and the people did something to sneak in I could see doing that, but what purpose did it serve to embarrass them like that?

From what I could see, staff didn't make a scene, the folks that didn't have permission made all the noise.
