Snorkeling At Coronados Island / Princess Excursion

We are thinking about booking the Snorkeling at Coronados Island on our upcoming Ruby Princess cruise. If you have taken this excursion, can you let me know how it went? Also, Does the boat that gets you to the island pull up to the beach to let you off or does if stop in deeper water and you have to swim ashore (sounds like a crazy question, but several years ago we had to swim ashore about 15 yards on a similar excursion). Are there restroom facilities on the island?

Thanks.

According to Wikipedia, visits ashore are not allowed. And if you look at Google Maps, the islands don't look very approachable.

Coronado island off the coast of Loreto is visited by many people, and the white sand beach is very nice. Good for snorkeling, swimming, hiking and picnicing.

There are no restrooms on the island unless recently built. A couple of shade structures are all I have seen there, and maybe some crude palapas fishermen have built.

Google Coronado island Loreto for info and pictures.
