We are going on our 2nd cruise in 119 days!!! We will be on the Dream out of New Orleans this time. Please give me any tips or hints to making the Dream a real dream vacation. ;)

We are in a Spa Balcony room as my daughter likes the higher floors, and I like the Spa!!!! We have our excursions planned, and we are skipping Cheers this time due to the cost of the plan for 7 days. I am not too worried about it as I can take it or leave it. We will have the Bottomless bubbles as I need my coffee and soda!!! We want to know what day has the Lobster in the MDR, and what day is good for the Steakhouse. Is the Mongolian Wok a pay restaurant or part of the food options?

I am getting sooooo excited. Countdown to "Living the Dream"

Congratulations on your Dream booking! Lobster is usually on your first cruise elegant night. I cruised on Dream on the New Year's cruise this year and the first cruise elegant night was on embarkation day, but I think that was just because it was a NYE cruise. Mongolian Wok is included in your cruise fare, but pay attention to your Fun Times because it has specific lunch time hours of availability. Be aware there is usually a long line for Mongolian Wok so plan ahead of being hungry at lunch. Tips: check out the pasta place on embarkation day, which is above the Lido deck aft. Many passengers don't realize it's there and open on embarkation day. They have great custom pasta bowl options along with garlic bread and Caesar salad. I didn't care for their lasagna though (which is a separate option from their pasta bowls) because it had sliced meat in it. That is just weird. I've never had lasagna before that didn't have ground meat in it. Lol. The pasta bowl with shrimp and Alfredo sauce is outstanding.

Watch your Fun Times for lunch hours available for Guy Fieri's BBQ place. They are not open on embarkation day. You can decide what you like from their menu. I liked the pulled pork, and the beans were so-so. Their potato salad and cole slaw are pretty much the same as what's served on the buffet and are not stand-outs. My beef brisket was dry and not worthwhile. It's worth visiting though (typically on sea days for lunch hours) to decide what you like. If you're a casino patron, it is very convenient to the casino for lunch.

Hope you enjoy your cruise on Dream.

Check your Bottomless Bubbles -- not sure if all the coffees are included with that plan or just with Cheers.

The pasta bar in the very back of the Lido buffet is the perfect place to eat lunch on embarkation day. No wait!

If you like comedy, and Caroline Picard is on your cruise, go to all of her shows. Laugh out loud funny!

Lobster is usually the first elegant night. Don't book the Steakhouse for elegant evenings -- we've always found that the last night of the cruise is perfect. It's not crowded or rushed, and you are almost guaranteed to end your cruise with a culinary masterpiece.

Thank you for the tips everyone. I am getting really excited. I can't wait to use the amenities in the spa this time. We were on the Spa floor on the Conquest and loved it!!! We loved the BBQ joint and the seafood shack. It is so hard not to get excited by all of the food options. I would love to hear more tips on this vessel....like great hidden decks, etc.
