I've been following this Journey Cruise departing on 21st September 2019 from Monte Carlo for some time now. When I looked today I couldn’t find it on the website. I follow these boards and don’t recall having seen anything about a charter or change of itinerary? Any information would be much appreciated.

No doubt there is a gap there

The two previous cruises plus this one and the one after were being promoted as the perfect European itinerary by the destination experts at presentations by Azamara last year. I do hope they have not stuffed a charter in there, we have the first two booked with the intention of adding the second two when the price was right.

The gap is only a week and the cruise I was looking at was 12 nights. Looks suspiciously like a charter. I’ll be so disappointed as this was an unusual itinerary and we also planned to book when the price was right. It has been ridiculously expensive to date.

We agree, it was tempting. Drat. I suppose now we just wait and see -

The Italy Intensive Sept 2019 cruise has been chartered. We were booked on that cruise and were told this about a month ago and that our booking was being cancelled. We were given a bunch of perks to rebook a different cruise with Azamara, so we booked a Persuit Italy Intensive in a May 2019. A bit shorter, and I’m a little disappointed, but I’m ok with the change, and I’m looking forward to sailing on Pertsuit.

Drat, as we were to book this when the pricing changed. Interesting that Azamara would charter out the third leg of a four leg super Europe voyage that was being so heavily promoted by their Destination specialist at events. Makes the face to face presentations another thing we can’t trust for the future.

Leg 3 was always stupidly priced I wonder if this was to justify a late charter if one came along on the basis of low sales.

Lucky we didn’t take the advice of future cruises and did not book legs 1 2 and 4 to wait a price drop, we do have 1 and 2 so that clears the way for us to hop to another line again for the rest on the time.

Thanks transam for the information, very disappointing for you. We also really fancied the itinerary but not at the prices it was advertised at.

Yes, I am saving a bundle of money with new Persuit Italy Intensive cruise over the prior. Granted it is shorter by a few days but the big price difference helps.
