Alcohol

Buy a bottle at a bar onboard, and take it back to your cabin.

I concur. It's the quickest way too. If you order from Room Service, even though it's the same price as at the bars, they send a chap to ask you to sign a form, and then they go off to get the wine. This is a real nuisance, especially when you have ordered dinner with wine. The wine always comes after dinner has been eaten. This happened to us twice on different P&O cruises. Lesson learnt by us is to buy the wine at the bar and put it in the fridge for later.

A real shame,I really thought that P&O were showing the way by not restricting alcohol but obviously not.

We ordered the 'Irish Falling Over Water' from room service, never found it a problem, prices on board weren't bad to be fair so it doesn't break the bank, just seems a restriction on your freedom!
