Pre Cruise hotel recommendation needed

I need a hotel for one night that is centrally located. Walking distance to shops/popular sites. It will be me and my 22 yr old daughter. Safe location not too far from airport and then not too far from cruise port.

If Barcelona check Sant Agusti. Just off Las Ramblas. We stayed there last November
