Luggage drop of in cairns

Recommended Posts

We dropped off at 10am last September. Great location for the port. Just walked across the road and sat back in the casino having a coffee. There are lockers in the casino (no clock room) where as you pay with credit card for a small fee. Very handy even if you want to wander around town and put hand luggage in the locker. Happy sailing.

Thanks for the reply.

so you were able to check in your luggage at 10am--well before your boarding time?

We will have a hire car-so are hoping that we can check in our suitcases before we have to drop the car back in the city-then we can just walk back to the terminal later for boarding time.

Cheers

We dropped off luggage early as we also had a hire car. If you are hiring from east coast they will shuttle you to the port. People were still disembarking and there was no problem with drop off. The port is really centrally located and an easy walk to the city. Are you doing a PNG cruise? We did on Eden past September and had a wonderful time. Happy cruising

thanks for that--we are also hiring from Eastcoast-so good to know they will drop us off!!

We are going from Cairns to Sydney on Pacific Eden-just 4 nights. We did a 3 night out of Melbourne on Pacific Eden in March for our first cruise-the weather was awful-so we are trying again in a warmer climate!!

thanks for your advice-we are looking forward to it--only 130 days to go!!:D:D

we are boarding a P&O cruise in cairns. Does anyone know how early we can drop off luggage before boarding?

Yes we have had no problem dropping our luggage off really early, also if you were thinking of staying the night in cairns there are numerous hotels you can just wheel your cases from hotel to ship.

The Shangra la, the hilton, the Pullman Reef
