Questions on disembarking in Marseilles.

Hi

We will disembark the Meraviglia in Marseille. The ship is scheduled to dock at 12.00pm.

a couple of questions:

What do MSC charge for a transfer to the airport?

Also I have the choice of a 14.30 flight or 17.25 departure. Would prefer the earlier flight rather than hanging round the airport but thinking maybe I should play it safe and book the later flight?

Would love some advice!

We disembarked there, but spent the night for an early morning flight the next day, so took a taxi to the old port area.

I would definitely not try to do a 14:30 flight. You most likely won't make it, since you need to be at the airport 2+hours prior, it's a good 20 min drive at 4:30am (so surely longer during the day), and docking doesn't mean able to walk off the ship.

I think you're better off resigning yourself to a few extra hours at the airport, or one extra night in Marseille and fly out at your choosing the next day.

I'd definitely go for the later flight. If you are due to dock at 12pm it's unlikely you'll actually be disembarking immediately and any delay in docking and you'd struggle to make your flight.
