ceba Posted November 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2017 The air quality in Delhi is horrible right now. Even the schools are closed. We are due to arrive next week (Nov 15). Has anyone experienced this during their travels? And if so, how did it affect your tours? ( I have purchased some super duper "nothing bad is getting through these" face masks ) Kathleen
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2017 Good idea about the face masks. A few years ago we had issue with the pollution in China and we would come back to the ship feeling sick from touring. Keith
DipBrat Posted November 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2017 If you buy the proper masks (N95) and they fit properly they can help but especially in the heat they are far from comfortable. If you have any breathing issues you might want to think about getting out of the city and seeing something else. For most people a few days won't do any long, or even medium, term damage. G.M.T. Posted November 10, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2017 In such situations, we always have a bottle of water and paper handkerchiefs with such. We use them to occassionally wash our eyes and eye lids (from inside to ouside) tgo get rid of the grit and dirt from thick air polution. Nothing worse than rubbing your eyes such conditions.
