You will enjoy this photo heavy trip report from twins_to_Alaska. They did the small boat excursion to Tracy Arm off the Celebrity. I don't know which cruiseline you're on, but their experience will give you an idea of the timing . ( they also did a lake landing with Misty Fjords)
