Emerald Princess to Mexico

My wife and I are booked for a 7 day cruise to Mexico on the Emerald leaving this weekend. We just got a message from Princess stating that if we rescheduled our cruise to any time in January or February 2018 we would get shipboard credit equal to the full value of the cruise and get upgraded to a mini suite. We have been on 17 cruises and I never heard of this. Any explanation from poster? Should we do it?

I would take it, if you can....basically a free cruise plus an upgrade. These offers happen when they overbook.

If your situation allows for you to reschedule the cruise, then yes you should take this "Move Over" offer.

Accept it quickly as these offers are first come-first served. You get a free cruise and in a bigger cabin.

shipboard credit, or future cruise credit?

We also had a similar move-over offer before. Though a great deal, we just had to ignore it since we were in a group and not everyone received a similar offer.

If you're driving to the port and can move your vacation to the new week then go for it. You don't get to cruise for free very often!

I would accept as long as it is possible for you.

I got the same offer today. However, I can't reach the other passenger!! It's a great deal but it may be too late to take it now since it's first-come first-served.

We accepted a similar offer a few years ago when we were booked on a Caribbean trip. It worked for us.

I would take it in a heartbeat.
