After I orginally created my account, it also showed my birthdate blank. When I tried to enter our future cruise, it kept saying there may be a problem with your name or birthday which you had to enter along with the booking number. I checked back every few days. A few days ago it finally accepted my future cruise when I entered the information on this website: https://ocean-compass-web.prod.ocean.com/compass .

 

It could be that Princess only allows people to enter their cruise information if they are getting a medallion for that cruise. It appears they had shipped my Medallions about the same time I was able to finally enter my future cruise information. I received them today for my Nov 26th cruise on the Regal Princess...

 

Well... I am booked for a Medallion cruise but perhaps it's too far in the future and they don't trust me not to cancel or something. I'm booked for the first Medallion cruise on Caribbean Princess on March 18, 2018. I tried (again) just now and it still won't accept my booking on the site. Very lame implementation.

 

Even though it didn't help me as far as linking my booking I thank you for your updated info. Enjoy your cruise. I leave tomorrow for about a 9 hour drive and a three night hotel stay in Portland, Oregon for Thanksgiving.. As usual I'm bringing walnut pie. If I didn't I would likely be in trouble as I have made it every Thanksgiving for many (many!) years. I'm sure it will be a good time but, on the whole, I'd rather be cruising... :p

Will princess actually start rolling out the medallion on other ships as a preview, if it hasn't even successfully fully rolled out the program on the Regal?

Our ***** cruise is on the Regal in April 2018. I have not had any luck with the Ocean Compass site as it just hangs and hangs - I guess it is all just a work in progress and hopefully it will be in working order in the new year.

Thanks. That is the only number I was aware of but... I think it's pretty darn poorly worded. Why can't they just ask for your Booking Number like every other input place Princess has? Bad IT always peeves me.

 

The message I get:

 

"Reservation Not Found Text"

 

...seems like that should be cleaned up for customers.

That's what I'm getting and we leave on 12/3. My husband said perhaps I complained too much about them messing with my AIBP on cruise critic and princess has decided to lose my reservation!!

The Ocean Ready app for my 12/3 sailing went live tonight finally so I was able to enter in all of the information, scan passports and add pictures. All I need to do is go back 72 hours prior to sailing and fill out the health questionnaire and it states they will send an email reminder.

The app is actually pretty neat because you can also see all of your journey information from dates, to booking #, to ship, ports, muster station, etc. You also pick a 4 digit pin just like you do with the Disney magic bands which I assume will be used for purchasing items just like at Disney.

 

There is also a webpage so you can enter some of the stuff that way so you don't have to do it all on your phone.

What kind of phone do you have? I haven’t seen the app on the Apple App Store to download, unless they specifically email you a link to download it until it’s ready for the masses.

Hi all,

 

So I've been having the same issues with Ocean Ready/ Ocean medallion apps on my iphone. Here's what I've learned so far:

1. To link your reservation successfully in any of the apps no matter which you download and use first, you must set up your name exactly as you booked your cruise when creating your ocean compass account. So for example, if your legal name is Robert Smith and this is how you are documented for the cruise, do not set up your Ocean account as Bob Smith. Even with the correct reservation/booking number, the reservation with not sync if the names don't match. If you have already done this in error, you'd think you'd just be able to change your name in the account profile section and be good. But no. This did not work. Instead, you will literally have to create a new account login using a different email (luckily I have 2 emails).

2. Ocean ready was not an available app on the iphone as of 11/15/17. Trust me, I spent 3 hours looking in every way possible. Magically, as of 11/16/17, the app is now available. If you don't successfully find it by searching "Ocean Ready" try searching "Ocean Compass" instead. The app was the 4th choice down for me.

3. Despite finally successfully putting Ocean Ready on my iphone and correctly linking my cruise (which leaves in just 2 days), I am still not yet able to use this app. I either get booted out saying there was a data error or when I do get in, it is saying I can't yet upload necessary docs and images due to my guest information not being complete in the cruise personalizer. I have double checked this perhaps a dozen times online and it says "complete", but still not syncing correctly in the app...

4. I concur that this whole ocean medallion thing might not have been ready for prime time. At a minimum, the apps are not. I suppose I'm still happy to be a guinea pig though, as if they do figure it out, it should be very very cool.

 

Once I'm onboard, I'm hoping all of these glitches won't matter and I'll report back on the experience.

 

JaxD: My wife had similar problems and your #3 matched her experience exactly. Maybe we'll find out something tomorrow that may solve the problem. My wife will be working check-in at the pier and may learn something. I won't learn anything I don't think as I'll be working somewhere else. Oh, well....
