Is It Just Me? Bad Gateway Error

For the last couple weeks I have had much difficulty launching/opening Cruise Critic boards and roll calls. If I wait patiently I will usually get a 502 or 504 Bad Gateway error.

I am using a Windows 7 desktop PC, I typically use Firefox (NOT the new Quantum) (but same thing happens with Chrome) I am trying to determine if the issue is with me or with Cruise Critic. BTW, I have no similar issues with any other websites.

I normally use bookmarks, but I tried creating brand new bookmarks, which for a few days I thought resolved the issue. But Noooooooooo it's back today. I have also tried clearing cache with no resolution.

I am just wondering if other members are having a similar issue or is it truly just me.

It's cruise critic - I got the same message - and some of the threads turned bright red again with no new posts.

I get it from time to time. Usually early morning bu today has been running slow.

The roll calls have been slow for me as well, and I've gotten logged out when navigating from page to page.

For a day and a half (11/8/2017 and 11/9/2017) I couldn’t get onto any of the Cruise Critic Boards. I thought that the boards were down for some reason. When I got back on I found that people had been posting the entire time that I off. I couldn’t get on by using different browsers and three different computers. I could get onto the Cruise Critic web site, just not the boards.

I have not had any other problems with the boards.

The "Search Thread" and "Thread Tools" tabs refuse

to open for me. Good grief!!! I also restarted my computer.

I just got the Bad Gateway today, but I get another Bad Request error (bad cookie) often after I have been on CC a lot. The second one I fix temporarily by clearing cookies. The Bad Gateway I got today I hit the back button, but it took me to a different board than I wanted and it was sooo slooow that I just rebooted the computer and it works fine now. It happens most often on my home computer. Hasn't happened yet on my newest laptop. EM

I've had the same Bad Gateway message from time to time.

Things seem to get back to normal when I wait about 30 minutes and try again.

I've had that before (Mac user) especially when I search for threads, click the one I want...and then I'm given the gateway error. Come to think of it, it hasn't been a problem for me over the last few weeks, but now that I've recognized that, I'm sure it will start back up again!! :evilsmile:

Often happens recently using Firefox on W7 of my laptop.

Same here. Using chrome. I just have to reload my link once or twice. It doesn't happen every time I try to open it though.

I can't even sign out.

It's sporadic. Sometimes I get it every day. I just wait for an hour or so then try again. Other times I have no problems. Last night (Australian time) was really bad. It went out in the early evening and I couldn't get back in again until this morning.

Thank you for the replies. So it appears I am not the only one with issues with the Cruise Critic website. This is a recent development for me. I hope it is back to not having these issues very soon.

Me either, and the search function won't work.

And from East Coast of Australia, had difficulty logging on today our time. :evilsmile: And when I got in to CC, had difficulty in logging out.

I'm having the same problem and it's a pain in the ass!
