Live from Navigator of the Seas B2b to the Western Caribbean and ABCs!

Today was a great day in Costa Maya. After a brief morning shower an hour before docking the sun was out all day. Had yet another wonderful day at Maya Chan. Both of us don’t really feel like getting dressed up tonight so it’s the Windjammer for us. We’ve swung through there to see what they had the last couple nights and it looks pretty decent. Probably will hit the evening show and then listen to some music. I plan on working out before we dock in Cozumel at 7 so not too late of a night tonight.

WiFi is very poor so having trouble uploading any photos today or the compass but will try later on. Plan tomorrow is snorkeling at the Money Bar early and then heading downtown for lunch and a stroll around town.

Are you able to iMessage without the wifi package ?

You would need a cell signal which you probably won’t get at sea and also would pay a heavy cost. Bottom line is no without a package.

Travis Cloer as the headliner was very good, IMO.

My family spent several hours at Tropicante in Mahahual. I definitely recommend it. DD (who is 6) and I enjoyed our beachside massages immensely :D She wants to do another one in Cozumel tomorrow, LOL.

We are joining you on the 9 day part of your adventure. I have a question. How is the wifi? Does it work in your cabin?

Robert

If you read about 6 or 7 posts up he has already answered a question about the quality of the wifi:

It’s really hit or miss. Periscope hasn’t worked since just outside Miami. FB live is sporadic as well. Haven’t tried Netflix or otherwise. Facebook itself and the forums work ok, just uploading photos takes a bit longer.

I believe the poster was referring to recent reports from certain ships that iMessage was working over WiFi without having to purchase an internet package. I believe this has only been reported from ships where the Royal IQ app is functional, such as Quantum class ships and Harmony.

Good morning from Cozumel! Sun is coming up and looks it’ll be another beautiful day weather wise. Still no luck posting photos so I’ve got a backlog building up.

Snorkeling at the Money Bar then lunch downtown today. I think we’re finally going to make the MDR tonight but we’ll see. More to come this afternoon.

Snorkeling this morning was excellent, lots to see. Enjoyed an amazing lunch yet again at Casa Denis downtown. Have been here three years in a row and it’s still excellent. Found a local coffee roaster as well so relaxing a bit. No clouds yet again is making for another perfect port day here in Cozumel.

Planning making the 3 mile walk back to the shop in a bit to walk off some of this food, should be fun!

Sorry folks, I’ve not had any success attempting to upload photos since last night. Strangely, tonight’s dessert menu was a repeat of the night before (confirmed with the waiter). I’ll catch up with photos when I’m able to.

There is a special Thanksgiving menu tomorrow night.

Today my family had a great day at Playa Mia. We were there last year with Liberty and really like how family-friendly it is.

Page 3 of Day 4 is missing. Any chance of getting it for the flowrider hours?

Yeah completely forgot that page. I’ll snap a photo of it when we get back to the room later. Having issues uploading photos onboard too but will try.

Good morning from a beautiful day 5 sea day aboard Navigator! Currently off of Cuba heading back to Miami. Weather is sun and very little wind with calm seas. Currently in the Cosmopolitan Lounge awaiting the b2b cruisers meeting in a few minutes.

WiFi is not currently good for anything other than typing so I will try a backlog of photos later including compasses, b2b letters, and others. Not much planned today other than some football, reading, a cold drink, and maybe a quick workout before dinner tonight.

Day 4 thoughts and notes:

As I mentioned really no luck with posting photos right now. Spent a wonderful day in Cozumel. Had breakfast and snorkeled at the Money Bar for a few hours while my wife did a dolphin excursion. I stopped by the ship to dump my towel and then headed downtown for lunch and walk around. Found some great places back off the Main Street for a couple hours. Headed back out to the main road and made the long, long walk back to the ship with no stops aside from a quick purchase of tequila from a favorite shop.

Dinner was our first meal in the MDR and really hoping this was a one off bad night. Service was the slowest we’ve ever had. Food was also just ok. We didn’t feel like waiting for dessert as long as it had been so we skipped it. Went to see Horizon the Motown show and they were excellent. Spent a few minutes in the pub listening to music then back to the theater for adult comedy which was very funny.

Sea day enroute back to Miami. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

B2B info.... We meet in the Star Lounge at 10am tomorrow. We’ll be given our new seapass cards, escorted off through customs and right back onboard. We have a lunch in the MDR from 1130-1230 so that’ll be nice. Already put new bag tags on but our room steward will move them and anything hanging.

We’re moving from our deck 6 interior to a deck 10 balcony. It really has been a great week so far and we’re looking forward to continuing the fun!

Last nights MDR menus. I had the mango soup and beef carpaccio to start and the filet of sole. My wife had the French onion soup and lamb chops. Service was rather slow and none of the food was above lukewarm. Taste was not great either. We usually enjoy the MDR but this was disappointing. We passed on dessert last night.

Happy Thanksgiving again everyone. Troubles continue with photo uploads. Dinner tonight was in the MDR and both service and food were much better than last night. Will post pictures tomorrow when we dock. In the pub watching football but the 70s party is going strong right outside.

Clo has done a great job as cruise director this week. I’ve heard things about Cuddy who takes over tomorrow but she will be missed next week. Hope everyone had a great day filled with food, family, friends, and football. We certainly did and can’t wait for the next 9 days onboard!
