$25 cruises?!?

I was just on the carnival site and it was showing me several cruises for $25. Before I could pull up my calendar and try to get something booked, they were all showing sold out (after going through several steps in the booking process). My question is how often do these pop up? Or, was it a glitch? The rooms it was showing available were super limited, dates were limited, so I assumed it was just a last ditch effort to fill those spaces.

Sounds like industry rates....do you work for a cruise line, airline, major hotel group...?

If not, somehow you found a major glitch.

I have the same thing and I don't gamble much, my other half does and he gets the bounce back offers and he doesn't have this offer in his account, but I did a dummy booking, yes, it does state $25 for sailings this month and when I try to book one regular prices and discounted prices come up but not for just $25, perhaps a glitch for sure.

I gamble, but not a lot. On our cruise this past July, I spent less than $500 on gambling. And, no--I'm a teacher, so definitely not an industry discount. Weird, huh? I'm going to see if it will actually let me keep going in the process because it is still showing up for me on the carnival site.

While in Cuba a few days ago on the Paradise, we were chatting with a fellow cruiser, who mentioned that it was his 2nd time in Cuba in 2 weeks. While he was on his previous cruise, he received an email for $25 Cuba cruise, which he quickly booked. I asked, and NO he was not a casino user at all. Nor was he Platinum.

That got me wondering--if perhaps some of the cheap rate cruises are sent to those who have higher Sail/Sign balances? The cruise line doesn't get a cruise fare, but they can likely count on that cruiser racking up a sizable onboard bill?

Meanwhile, I will continue to patiently wait and hope that someday I get a $25 cruise...

We've had them call and offer these on cruises that had their itineraries switched due to storm damage. I think they've had a lot of cancellations on those. But the dates didn't work for us. It makes sense...they like to sail full. And it helps the staff, who need the gratuities from a full ship!

Celebrat I don't think so because we all purchase the drink package and we all pay the fee for the steakhouse overnight as we don't eat dinner in the MDR....my other half gambles slots and spends maximum, and he always gets the drink on us card on day one and we are platinum....we still didn't get this offer.

Well, it worked out and I booked it! 25 days until sailing. :D It happens to be my husband's birthday weekend, so it made sense--we would've spent close to $100 on dinner with our family, plus about the same on a gift. Makes more sense to go on a cruise for $25/person. :D

We booked a 5 day on the Valor, but it also had $25 options on the Breeze, the Dream (the week of Thanksgiving), and several others. However, those dates didn't work for us. (I can't justify being off a full week during the school year, but a long weekend I can manage.)

Just happened to see someone post this on Friday. Snagged an ocean view on Elation just a quick 4 dayer, $30 a day. By the evening the $25 and $30 cabins were gone . There were a lot for Charleston and Galvaston left but I'm only 2+ hours from Jacksonville. If you see them you have to be quick. Last one we got was the Sunshine about 2 years ago.

In a few weeks the Elation will have righted itself.

Got one of these a few years ago when a two-dayer was not selling.

I've had these offers for the past couple of days. They are "casino offers and pack and play offers". Many are $25 per person, some are a little more ($40 or $100) but still great prices. Unfortunately, the dates do not work for me. Can't just blow off my grandson's baptism weekend or Thanksgiving with family. Plus it would cost hundreds to fly to the port city. Very frustrating.....would love to go cruising and don't care where it goes or what ship. I'm thinking Carnival is trying to fill their ships due to many cancelations and port changes etc. Maybe these offers will spill over to later months. I'm always hopeful that I'll find something that works for me.

I also had these before and also show up this week. I am bummed that I could not work out my time to take one. Even for a quick weekender.

These are PACK & PLAY cruises offered from the Casino Players club and usually for the next 30-60 days. They are NOT frequent so if you get them definitely look into the dates they are offered on.

You are responsible for the cruise rate ($25,$30,$50) plus any port and taxes. They are fanstastic deals and you could grab a 7 day trip for under $300 sometimes.

They are also perfect offers for SOLO cruisers and you would just pay $25+$25 plus one port taxes!

Hmmm...well then I just don't understand what the mystery formula is behind who they choose to get these offers. Make no sense.

Same as the upsale calls. They are completely random.

Note: (as many people never check for them)

With these $25 Pack & Play rates, Free cabin offers, Casino Players Club offers etc, you Must log into the carnival website and look at your VIFP offers. VIFP offers do not show on the fair-viewer when searching for Early Saver price drops.

I’ve received Free cabins, $25 rates, $199 rates and Players Casino cash offers that I would have never seen unless I checked my “special VIFP offers”.

May the odds forever be in your favor

I noticed the same offer on my account last week. I booked it immediately and within two hours they were all gone. I don't know how often they update them. If you do get one and are not sure who you will take the best thing to do is pay double, $50, and then you can add a second person later and they will be only responsible for the taxes and fees. I did that and added someone today. I was afraid if waited around to find someone to go the offer would be gone.

Hi,

By any chance can you explain briefly how the industry rate works? Our son, works on the Carnival ships, currently Freedom. He wrote and said after this Contract is over we'd be able to book for $30/day. Assuming Inside Cabin.

I'm wondering Port fees +Taxes included?? Of course, we pay for gratudies.

Thanks,

Bobbi

I received the same players club sign and sail email. Not a huge gambler here (usually about $200-$250 per cruise) and its the first time I have ever received an offer like this. Ended up booking me and my son a 4 nighter out of Charleston on the Sunshine for $30 each for an inside (rest of family could not free schedule to go). With port fees and pre paid gratuities it ended up being $345 total with a $50 OBC. I am 2 points short of platinum so this will get me there and we can enjoy those benefits on the next cruise!

Before anybody considers the Elation out of Jacksonville, read the last few reviews, you just may want to reconsider going.

The last reviews were prior to dry dock.Sailed the Elation prior to dry dock and we are going again on the 30th of Oct. It is a fun ship. No worries

You get platinum benefits on the same cruise in which you reach the number of days required. If you only need 2 nights to reach platinum, then you should receive the platinum card on this 4-day cruise. When you print your luggage tags and boarding pass, they should reflect your new status.
