Question about Amber Cove - Cable Ride and Brugal Distillery

I’m researching all of this to, so my information is not complete.

No, they are not walking distance. They are in the town of Puerto Plata, about 8 miles away. I read that if you catch a cab inside amber cove they charge a flat rate, cabs outside the main gates will negotiate. I think I read the cable car was $10-12 a person, or close to.

There are outside tour groups, marysol and iguana mama, that have city tours that include the cable car and a distillery as well as cigars and lunch.
