transportation to Port Canaveral

Welcome to Cruise Critic!

If you come over to the portion of Cruise Critic devoted to Florida, located here:

You will see many discussions about Orlando. Shuttling to the port (with a company like Cortans) is commonly recommended.

As to places to stay "best" is a very vague term, and means many different things to different people. For example, "best" could be in or part of one of the many amusement parks, if you are going to one. "Best" could be 5 star. "Best" could be close to the airport so you can catch a shuttle the next day. What does "best" mean to you?

On our last cruise we flew into Orlando and stayed at a Hilton that had a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel for the night. We used Cortrans Shuttle to pick us up right outside of our hotel and took us to Port Canaveral and then picked us up from the cruise terminal and back to the airport after the cruise. We flew back home the same day the cruise returned to Port Canaveral.

Cortrans was not only affordable but made more sense than having to pay ridiculous rental car fees to just have to pay to park it at the parking deck for the duration of the cruise.
