Hi! I’m taking our 13 y/o daughter on a mom/daughter trip - this is one of our ports of call - any suggestions on excursions? We like to do pretty much anything - but haven’t found a great excursion we are really excited about!

Thanks so much! Heather

Climb to the top of the Lighthouse.

Take a Conch Train tour

I also agree with the Butterfly Conservatory. The Eco-Discovery Museum is free and has a lovely short movie abput the reefs and marine life around the Keys.

Take the free boat out to Sunset Key and eat at Latitudes. The view is glorious. You will need to make reservations for the boat through the Margaritaville Hotel concierge.

Ride the Conch Train for an open air over all look at Key West.

Walk along the scenic fishing, yacht and tour boat piers of Key West Harbor and dine in any one of several popular dockside restaurants there.

Walk up Duval Street. You may find some interesting shops, art galleries and restaurants. There is a Coach Outlet store.

If you are history buffs, check out the Truman Winter White House. It is a nostalgic walk into the 1950s.

If you like water adventure take, one of the jet ski tours around the island.

You could fit in a day sail on the Jolly II Rover ---> http://schoonerjollyrover.com/

It's BYO so popular for families with younger children.

Pjk

Totally agree. We have had a great time on the Jolly II Roger. Love the red sails. As an aside, the Jolly II Rover is sailing past the sunset in my son's wedding pictures, so we have a special sentimental connection to that ship.
