I'm booked on the Diamond. Anyone know about the smoking areas of that ship. It will be sailing through Asia on my trip.

From the Princess Patter (January 2018):

See you on the Diamond in February. ;)

The Casino is definitely a smoking zone.

Although they had 1 or 2 smoke-free evenings.

Thanks, I thought so. Don't they also have an indoor smoking room near the casino - generally for cigar smokers?

There is a cigar lounge. It is the only place where they allow cigars or pipes.

SKY Princess -- Anyone know if the outdoor smoking area is going to be like Regal and Royal? I specifically am interested in the aft smoking area on a higher deck. Regal and Royal has a great one on Deck 17 aft.

@Ken & Nancy...are you being funny? Can you take your dog, but you hate smokers? What was your point of that post?

Actually the smoking area aft starboard deck 7 side , is a pain as it blocks the people whom walk round on the promenade. It would be a good idea to give them a room sealed from the rest of ship, so the air it ducted straight outside away from the others.

Maybe some where around the funnel area, or simply ban smoking in public areas

Looks like there are ONLY 2 outdoor smoking areas on the entire ship. Get over it.

Maybe a private Yacht is a better fit for you, that way you can ban all kinds of things and people you don't care for.

Just a thought ....

Sorry if this has already been asked but I didn't want to search 45 pages and it didn't come up in the search feature. Where would the smoking areas be on the Star? Thank you.[/quote

As I recall from my trip on the Star last year - the smoking areas were on Deck 6 in Shooter's Bar, Deck 15 near Tradewinds Bar and a box-on-the-wall area on Deck 7 (starboard side, aft). There may have been 1 more, but I mainly used Shooter's and Tradewinds locations. Also, a small portion of the casino slots on most nights.

Unfortunately traveling with my husband is no longer possible. He enjoyed reading a book on the balcony and sometimes smoking a cigar. I am very disappointed he cannot smoke.

Count me on the "I dislike the no smoking policy"

He is still welcome to smoke his cigar in the cigar lounge. He's just not welcome to "share" his cigar smoke with everybody else who doesn't want to partake.

Can anyone tell me if you can smoke cigars in the outdoor designated smoking area on the pacific princess since there is no cigar bar. On this ship?

I have never had an issue enjoying a cigar in any smoking area on any ship. My problem has alway been cigarette smokers in cigar lounges. They stink!

Yes, I know that is often the case. However, cigars are not supposed to be smoked outside of the cigar bar. Pacific princess does not have one. I am not trying to open a debate. I just want to know if the rules are different on pacific princess.

Can anyone tell me the smoking areas on the Golden princess

are they more strict and limit the areas if the cruise is coming out of Australia

as smoking polices are very strict in this country now

To answer your question on the Golden in Australia generally Two Areas

Deck 7 starboard side just aft of the doors on to the promenade next to the Vista lounge ( standing only )

Deck 15 port side at the Tradewind Bar with table and chairs and you can get a morning coffee there

Cheers Don
