Glass bottom boat

Recommended Posts

We went....I wouldn't do it again. The "glass bottom" part (of course) is in the lowest part of the ship, which was inside and quite stuffy. Didn't see much the day we were there...perhaps it varies upon time of day or season...I don't know. It killed a few hours....The views around the area the boat goes was nice enough...but if you're outside, of course you can't see what's under the glass bottom!

We didn’t enjoy it. The windows were dirty and scratched so the views were obscured. It would’ve been worth it if the windows had been new or at least kept up.

As others said, it was a way to kill time, and it was something better than walking around aimlessly In the overcrowded downtown area, but I wouldn’t take this tour again

Since most of those glass bottom boats are the same, I'll share our experience in St. Maarten. The steps going down to the bottom of the boat were very narrow and some older people had trouble negotiating the staircase. It was hot and stuffy during the excursion and the water was rough. At least two people got sea sick and others were nauseous. Barf bags were next to each seat. They did not cut short the cruise and people were more than ready to exit once we reached the dock. Never again!
