Valletta, Malta - TOUR recommendation

I am trying to book some tours for a friend that is headed on a MSC cruise for her honeymoon. Unfortunately - I am not a big fan of the tours offered from the cruise line to this port. I am open to a variety of different types (food, city, etc.) but would love to hear what some of your favorite were that you booked from outside tour companies in advance.

I was in Malta in 2017 and did a wonderful 7 hour tour with Amy Pace. You can check her out on Trip Advisor, think her tours are called Amy's Guided Tours of Malta.

We rented a taxi after getting off the ship (fixed rate/hour) and they took us wherever we wanted. Not a guided tour, but very independent feeling.

We've booked Malta Film Tours (Game of Thrones) with Malcolm Ellul for our port stop next May. Great reviews of this private tour on TripAdvisor. Very excited about this particular tour.

1400-1440hrs Blue Grotto Boat Trip (weather permitting)

1450-1530hrs UNESCO Hagar Qim temples

1600-1700hrs Mdina Medieval City

1730hrs Back at port

They changed the times to fit when our cruise ship was in port.
