we have a group of 10 who will arrive in Vancouver from Alaskan cruise and dont have flights out until around 10:00 pm......would appreciate any thoughts, comments or resources about reasonably priced tour options to see some of Vancouver and where we can keep our luggage and then how to get on to airport from there........appreciate any do’s or dont’s........

A custom tour would seem ideal in the circumstances - that way your bags can come on the bus with you all, but you don't get abandoned at the airport hours and hours early like all of the city tours and even the further-afield day tours would do to you. ToursbyLocals might be a good start point, see who has access to a minibus. Look over standard offerings, see what appeals, and combine two or three suggested routes into one all-day tour.

Otherwise buying a HOHO ticket each is still a much better price than a regular Pre- or Post-cruise city tour (the latter start at $80 and up for ~4 hours, whereas HOHO runs <$60 - discounts for Seniors, kids available too). Bags can be stored at one of the hotels - Pan Pacific right above the pier is the best value at $5 per bag if you don't mind returning. Otherwise CDS Storage at the pier will ship bags to the airport for same-day flights for $10 per bag which saves the hassle of returning to collect them - PorterGenie also operate in Vancouver now. NB: I've yet to see any reviews of the latter, but there have been reports of pretty shoddy service from the former this year, so there is currently no 'definitely the best way to handle this' recommendation!
