When we port at Santos, are goal is to stroll along the beach front garden.

How far is it from the port.

Does anyone know what is available for transportation - taxi or shuttles?

How much would the fare be for that distance?

Are any of the sights such as coffee museum walkable from there?

We were in Santos last November on the Oceania Marina. There was a shuttle from the port to a shopping mall which was provided free for the passengers. I don't know if your ship will provide it for free or a charge. This mall was located in the city about a block from the beach on which the garden is located. The Coffee Museum is located in the historic district that is on the other side of the cruise port away from the mall. It was a $20 cab ride from the mall to the Coffee Museum and then another $10 cab back to the cruise port.

There should be plenty of taxis at the Port of Santos. The fare will be about $10 to the Beach Gardens. Prior to our trip we didn't hear many nice things about Santos, but we found it to be a wonderful city. The beach is very pretty and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We didn't go to the Coffee Museum, but those who did said it was interesting. I don't think that there is anything within walking distance of the port.

Enjoy!

We took a cab to the funicular up Monte Serrat. Not much there but the view was quite nice. We then jumped on a local bus a few blocks away and went down to the Praca das Bandeiras for $3.00 reals each where we had been told there was a tourist bus but some friendly police officers there told us it was discontinued some time ago so we just walked along the beach and then caught a cab back to the ship.
