Look at deck plans online to see what is above and below your cabin.

The two hours before embarkation is only for embarkation, not for each port. At each port there will be a sign saying when you must be back aboard, usually 30 minutes before departure.

You can look up historical weather averages using http://www.weatherunderground.com

You need to followup with the cruise line to get approval to disembark before the cruise is over and I would get that in writing.

You can take any excursions you want. In other words doing none, the ships or a private tour is perfectly fine.

Thanks. Deck plans online to see what is above and below your cabin - what do you suggest?

Thanks Keith. Buying the package online, how can I get approval to disembark in writing?

You are welcome.

You would need to call the cruise line about this.

You could also post on the Cruise Critic NCL Cruise Line Board to see how others have contacted NCL about this.
