We always prepay those. We have a few hundred and didn't know if you could use it in the casino. I was thinking of the hubby as I could care less about gambling.

All on board purchases are charged to your room account, and the OBC will be applied to the amount on your account. It is not discretionary and will be applied as the charges are made. Cash advances made for the Casino typically carry a service charge as Bob indicated.

You can use it for excursions that you book while on the ship, fitness center classes, salon and spa, on board shopping purchases, gratuities just to name some of the things.

I would cancel something you've 'prepaid", and book it on the ship to use up the OBC...no sense letting "free" money go to waste!

You can use it for just about anything except purchasing a future cruise deposit.

We once had $1.24 left over.

Mrs Gut still has a grizzle that we should have found a way to use it.

I once had a small OBC left on NCL. I went down to the shops determined to spend it!! I found two pens that were slightly more money but at least I wouldn’t be leaving any. I forgot there was a discount on NCL merchandise...the total wound up being the exact $5.49 I had!
