Freeport

I've searched several sites looking for excursions in Freeport, but nothing seems very interesting. What excursions do you recommend?

You may have done this already but wanted to let you know that there is a ports of call board on CC for the Bahamas so you may also want to post there.

Freeport or Grand Bahamas is a very small island. The biggest structure in it will be the biggest cruise ship in the port. When there's no cruise ships, the biggest building is the home of the man who owns all the chain businesses in town. Blink in you will miss it. I did a tour called "The Best of Grand Bahamas" booked through NCL. I really enjoyed it. It's been a while, but I seemed to remember people saying how good the snorkeling was. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would have just stayed on the ship or walked around the port.

We did a bike tour which also included some beach time. It was a lot of fun and there is only one very tiny hill. It was good to get some exercise.

We went on a 50 ft sailboat over near Lucaya

It was an excursion we booked thru NCL

4 or 5 hours beautiful sailing They cooked us lunch onboard and some snorkeling

We reserved a car from Island Jeep and Car Rental right at the port and drove to Golden Rock Beach at Lucayan National Park. It is a beautiful uncrowded beach and costs $5 per person.
