Alaska Tours

Hello, my husband and I are booked on the 11 day Seabourn Alaska Cruise on 6th August, can anyone recommend tours that they have been on and enjoyed.

We prefer not to do any with Helicopters or float plan as the weather can be unpredictable.

Also is it a good idea to pre book?

Has anyone used outside tour companies, or is it best to stick to the cruise line tours?

Thank you

Do not avoid helicopters or float planes because of possible weather conditions. If the weather becomes an issue they will not go. But they also provide the most thrilling experiences. I always recommend private outside tours. Especially in Alaska you can save a lot of money over ship's excursions.

Thank you very much for that information, I have tried to book outside tours but every one I have tied has come back saying not available on cruise ship days.

If you could please forward any details that you have re outside tours we would be very grateful.
