Greece in October

We booked the Greece cruise in October. We also booked a three day stay in Athens prior to the cruise.

Would like to discuss this cruise in general with anyone who would like to respond.

This will be our first time on Oceania.

Greece is lovely in October. Not very warm any more. Have you been in Athens before? There are lovely hotels with view of the Acropolis.

I like Greece this time of year.

Less tourists in the ports and you don't have the heat and humidity of the summer months.

No, we've never been to Greece before. Been on Celebrity quite a few times. But not Europe. Alaska, Caribbean, Bermuda and the Galapagos. Assume the security system for boarding and leaving the ship is basically the same, with id cards that verify who passengers are.

We read on this board and think its a good idea to make a reservation for Toscana or Ginger for the first night of the cruise when everyone else is settling in.

If you check on the Roll Calls section for your ship under the date of your cruise you may well find a Roll Call ghas been set up where you can "chat" to fellow cruisers and share tips and set up shared tours if you want to.

I was in Greece in early November. Nice weather.
