dropping off luggage at port in Vancouver

Does anyone know how early we can drop off our luggage at the port before our cruise departs. They said we can board starting at noon.

Generally you can start dropping bags at 930 to 10 in the morning. It will depend on how many ships are in port and if the porters are ready to accept bags.

^What he said. Official start time is 'between 10am and 10:30am' so there is no guarantee the Longshoremen will be ready to start taking incoming bags before 10:30am, but on 1 or 2 ship days 10am is a very safe bet. A downtown hotel - so you can just leave your bags there and go sightseeing, then come back for them when you're done - makes for a more efficient embarkation day.

Even on a one ship day do not show up at 12noon - cruiseline recommended timings are not just nonsense, but can be actively misleading. The boarding process usually begins at 11am, and unless you enjoy standing in queues you should either go early (before 11am) or late (at least 2pm, even better 3pm) to minimise your wait time.
