Cozumel?

We find Cozumel to be one of the safest and easiest ports in the Western Caribbean. No need for a ship tour unless you are heading to the mainland (Mayan ruins, etc.) Relax, do some homework to figure out what you want to do, and enjoy.

What in the world does “closed” mean? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I asked the same question, when the woman told me that is was closed? She claimed you could only venture into the dock area and no where else?? As I stated above, I didn't give it much thought.

I just thought I would ask about current conditions there. We are going in the fall, and have always had a "great time" in Cozumel, and the "Mainland" as well.:):)

The Harbor was closed to small boats - scuba diving, etc. for a few days due to high winds/waves. It has nothing to do with cruise ships. The Harbormaster closes the harbor due to safety several times a year, it is his job to keep everyone in small boats safe.
