Disembark Early In Victoria, BC??

My husband and I are taking a Pacific Coastal cruise on Celebrity in September that begins in Seattle and ends in Vancouver.

Our last port is Victoria, BC on the day before we end the cruise in Vancouver. We would like to disembark early in Victoria and spend a few days exploring Victoria since we have been to Vancouver many times. Does anyone have experience doing this and how do I go about getting permissions to disembark early? Thanks of any help.

That is a short cruise, but have seen many Canadians get off in Victoria early on longer cruises.

You need to notify and get the approval of Celebrity.

I believe you posted this on the Celebrity Board.

History means nothing because rules change all the time.

I would contact Celebrity to see if this is allowed and if so get it in writing.

Then once you are on the ship bring the written confirmation to the front desk to be sure the ship knows.

I have done this in Istanbul on NCL on a Rome to Rome cruise. A much more complex situation that Canada/US in that the ship needed to take my passport and have an arrival visa placed in.

I would just go to the customer service counter as soon as you get on the ship and tell them what you want to do once your on the ship.

If you decide to go all the way to Vancouver and then head back to Victoria, BC Ferries Connector (Willsons Transport) runs a bus service that takes you from the pier in Vancouver into downtown Victoria.
