Freeport- what to do???

There is a small shopping area right at the dock. You would need to take a taxi or rent a car for beaches. Freeport is home to Gold Rock Beach and I think there are other nice beaches on the island too.

Note for car rental: driving is on the left (opposite of the US).

We used to feel the same as all of the reviews above and stay on the ship until our last time there! Right off the ship, take a cab to "Junkanoo Beach" (yes there is one in Nassau too not to be confused) The taxi ride is around 20 minutes but it's a $3 fee to access the beach, where there is a bar and great food and a really pretty beach surprisingly! This made for a great day for us before heading to Senor Frogs before getting back on. We will definitely do this again.
