Limousine from Vancouver Airport to Fairmont Waterfront Hotel

Can anyone who has used this service help with with a recommendation for June 2018 pick up from YVR and drop off at Hotel ?

It's not a very long journey, just 20 minutes straight down Granville Street. There are always a good selection of regular taxi's and limo's waiting outside the arrivals area, certainly no need to book in advance. I don't think the extra $20 or so for a limo is worth it for such a short journey. Vancouver taxis are all metered and pretty straight forward.

Hope this helps. Lived in Vancouver for 20 years.

Things have changed in the last 20 years Conchyjoe... I doubt you'd even recognize most of the city these days!

Taxis are now fixed rate from YVR. To Fairmont Waterfront, CAD$35. Limos from the walkup queue are also fixed rate - depends on size of vehicle. Small group that fits in a towncar, CAD$64 plus 5% tax (and tip). Pretty much exactly double cab fare.

If you really want to book a limo you can pay an extra $50 'meet and greet' fee - this gets you the chap in a hat and jacket with your name on a sign waiting in Arrivals to take your bags. It's also slower - the booked limos still have to park out back, so your driver has to get your bags to the car and then bring it around front whereas the walkup queue you just... walk up!

Granville is still a very popular route - so much so that most folks I know take Cambie instead (it's only 100 metres longer to that Fairmont) to avoid tourists and others who depend on older GPS units without active traffic avoidance. If you're arriving during daylight on a nice day, or even better around sunset, it's well worth the extra $5 for a stop en route (5 mins) to ask the cabbie to stop at the ridge of the hill (if on Cambie, Queen Elizabeth Park tops the rise). The views from here help explain just why us current locals don't complain TOO much about the obscene price hikes and taxes on property;-)
