Can anyone please tell us of any upcoming BEST deals on Norwegian or any other cruise?

Check out Dec 5 – 15 2018 on the Epic, right now you can choose a balcony cabin for $899 (guarantee BF category) and also get a $100 onboard credit and for that $899 price you can take all 5 of the free at sea promotions. Pretty good deal for a 10 day western Caribbean cruise.

My best NCL deal was a complete fluke.

Spent a few weeks in June looking for a cruise to take our 2 daughters on a getaway in early December (this was 2012). We finally booked the Jewel in an Obstructed Oceanview (OK) cabin on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Paid $1748.08.

The VERY NEXT DAY I was here on cruisecritic and someone posted that they had just been notified of an itinerary change for a November sailing on the Jewel and they were being offered the option of staying on the Jewel for the Western itinerary or switching at no additional cost to NCL's newest ship at the time - the Epic which would be doing the Eastern itinerary.

I contact our TA and was able to verify that we had also been extended the same option... so we advised the TA to go ahead and switch us to the same sail date on the Epic. We were very happy to land in an extended balcony (our first one) while only paying for an obstructed oceanview.

To this day our daughters talk about how that trip in particular was so wonderful. We surprised them by waking them up and telling them they weren't going to school and took them first to Magic Kingdom and then the cruise. We are going to be surprising our sons in a similar manner (minus the flights and Disney) when we cruise on the Escape this coming December.

We went from a BD to an S9 on The Getaway in 2014 after noticing an AMEX offer and increased OBC from NCL. After adding in those extras the end total all in expense was $1250/person including taxes and port fees. It’s been our only Haven experience. I would REALLY like to experience the Epic Haven but I highly doubt I’ll ever see Haven prices at $1250/ person again.

WOW........that’s incredible! Epic was still pretty new them, too!

Yep, that was the advertised price on the NCL site and not some secret upgrade offer. It was 2k cheaper than the penthouse we had in 2010. I booked a year out and of course the price went up about $500 close to sailing but then it dropped again 30 days prior to sailing.

THOSE were the days (before FDR )

Last Thanksgiving, 7 nights on the Epic: 3 balcony staterooms with UBP, Specialty dining, $125 OBC per cabin. Six people: $4200. I thought is was a great deal bc my DH and I were paying for our adult children to join us along with a companion each. It was my introduction to NCL and I chose it bc of the price and the UBC. I didn't want to have to worry about the drink bill at the end of the week. I thought it was a good deal.

2013 7 night cruise on the Getaway, they had a buy one get one free promo...the free promo was either a 3 or 4 night cruise on the sky (we choose the 4 night) in the same cabin as you booked i.e if you booked a balcony on the getaway you got a balcony on the sky. We only had to pay the taxes and our airfare. This was before the sky was open bar. I wish they would do that promo again.

October 31, 2017 Gem 11 night S. Caribbean, which I jokingly refer to as the ill fated Halloween cruise. Booked a category IX last minute (no single supplement at all) for $429.

I was ready to go home after 10 days, so I didn't view flying home from Barbados as that bad. I managed to get to the Airport very early, and was checked in before the computers crashed!

That was my HONEYMOON. Talk about ill fated! lol.

We are using the credit they gave us to have a "redo" first anniversary to the Bahamas. After the credit, drink and dinner package gratuities and all the taxes, we are doing 7 nights for 1200 total. Not THAT great but didn't want to waste that $800 NCL gave us.

Last year our 10 day cruise was cancelled and NCL gave us half off our next cruise where we bid on a haven upgrade from a B1 to a haven courtyard and they gave us a 2br haven suite for a very reasonable bid![emoji41]🤞[emoji106]

Dec 9, 2006 was ours!

It was an 11-day cruise on the NCL Wind around the Hawaiian Islands and Fanning Island, just 3 degrees or so off the Equator starting in Honolulu and back to Honolulu. Those days NCL had 4 ships based in Hawaii and they were struggling to fill the ships and boy, were there some insane bargains to be had.

We flew out of LAX, had a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay, the 11-day cruise, one-night post-cruise stay and the flight back to LAX. All for $611 each, cruise, hotels, flights, airport/hotel/cruiseport transfers, port charges, taxes, fees included! Everything booked thru NCL.

Please keep this thread to NCL only cruises. Thanks.

two 11 days cruises for $400 each (2014, 2017).

see my sig. :D

oh.. for the 11 day cruise in 2014, they canceled Tortola port so they gave everyone $100 back!

so $300!!!!

Mine was three years ago on the Epic out of Barcelona. It was a 7 day Med cruise in a studio cabin for $479. Unfortunately the airfare from Dallas was $1200 so the cheap cruise wasn't so cheap after all.

2006 - We booked our very first NCL cruise, a 10 day Pride of Aloha (now the Sky) cruise to Hawaii from SF at the very lowest inside cabin price. About a month before sailing the ship had azipod problems and our cruise was cancelled. That same day we were offered a FREE 7 day cruise on the POA and NCL paid the change fees on our flights and refunded every bit of our fare from the cruise we had booked first. Since we were flying from Florida and back, the difference in airfare costs was only about 100pp more. Several very stressful hours, but it all worked out! So we extended our pre-stay in Oahu by several days and were able to change all our reservations for rental cars and private excursions with no problems, AND NCL upgraded us for FREE to a port side unobstructed balcony (best views on a Hawaiian island cruise as we viewed the Napali coastline for HOURS after sailaway!) a week before sailing!!!! It was our first balcony cabin ever! Deal of a lifetime!!!! (Of course now we are hooked on balcony cabins!):)

December 2012 we sailed the Star to the Western Caribbean-7 nights. Family of 4 in a Family Suite (SJ). We got it for $2700 plus $600 OBC.

This was also the most expensive cruise because it was our first exposure to the "Suite Life" and now we don't want to sail any other way! Totally ruined our youngest. We stayed at a hotel a few months after the cruise and he wanted cookies. I told him we didn't have any. His response, "Can't you just call the butler and ask him to bring some?" Oh boy-LOL!

The Best (and the worst?) Deal:

Often I'm a CAS customer (through Caesar's Casinos) and I had a "deal" on an inside cabin on the Star. To that point, I had been in an inside cabin a number of times and an oceanview (on an upgrade bid) once. I like to say I'm a "value" cruiser but others seem to be saying "cheeeeeppp" behind my back.

When I called, I was offered an upgrade to a family suite for $450/each. I didn't know if my travel buddy (road dog?) would like that but, after thinking for about 30 seconds or less, I said yes.

When I went from a 130 sq. ft. dark, crowded inside cabin to a big (400+ sq. ft.) cabin with a great view, great service, nice amenities etc the impact was quite spectacular. No longer did one of us have to sit on one of the beds for the other one to move around. There were TWO sinks and good closet space. And on and on.

So why is it the worse deal? I'm now spoiled. I guess that was the idea. I did get a balcony for Panama Canal and it was great but the lack of space and "special" service didn't make it measure up to the suite experience. So now I'm hooked and while all my future bookings aren't in suites, the ones I think I can afford are.

So I guess, in truth, it was a good deal.

We did that Fanning Island cruise in 2005 with air out of Vancouver through travel zoo for $1100cdn and air to Oahu was $550cdn at the time.
