Bed Placement - Harmony of the Seas

Recommended Posts

This one could be a toss-up... given the pattern, it should be by the balcony, but since it connects to an accessible cabin on the right, maybe this one is an anomaly? Normally, in a pair of connecting cabins, the one on the left has the bed by by the bath and the one on the right has the bed by the balcony, and so on. This allows for the connecting door to be on the wall opposite the bathroom, as cabins with the bed by the bath typically have the bathroom on the left upon entry and ones with the bed by the balcony have the bathroom on the right. I’m sure someone more knowledgeable than me can explain it better, but I hope I have been able to help somewhat!

ETA - I know someone who had your same cabin on Allure, just 6 decks below (same configuration as this cabin on Harmony, just different decor and closet setup) - hers was on the right side of a pair and therefore had the bed by the balcony (she had friends next door in 7176). However, unlike 14174, 7174 does not connect to an accessible cabin (or adjoin to one for that matter), so I am really unsure as to how this works! Quite frankly, I was surprised to see the connecting door between your cabin and the accessible cabin on the deck plan given the pattern. Either way, Harmony’s cabins have a very functional layout with 2 closets on either side of whichever is closest to the bathroom, which I feel is an improvement over other ships - this is what I meant earlier on when I mentioned how the cabins on Oasis/Allure and Harmony/Symphony have the same configuration, just a different closet setup, Have a great time, you’ll love Harmony!
