Rollator use on board

My DH will be taking his rollator on our cruise. He can walk short distances, and limited stairs without it, so we were planning on using general seating during shows. Is there a place to securely leave the Rollator in the theaters on Allure of the Seas? He will need it to get from cabin to venue.

Haven’t been on that ship, but every ship ive been on there has been somewhere to leave them. Not securely but safely.

It’s nit supervised and someone “could” take it.

Thank you Gut!

Normally there is seating for people with mobility issues, near the entrance and there is space nearby to leave rollators etc.

Thank you, my DH is able to walk down the stairs and likes to sit a bit closer to the stage. I will just bring a cable lock for the wheels and hopefully that will keep it safer.

I'm sure one of the ushers will put it somewhere in the back of the house (generally where the WC seating it). Put a luggage tag with your name on it so you can identify it.

Thank you jp

I use a rollator on every cruise. The usher will put it in a special section in the back of the house for you. The receptionist or m’aitre d will put in in a special place outside the Di I g room afteryou use it to get to your table.

We have left a wheelchair in the back of the theater many times on many ships without problem. You'd have to be pretty smarmy to steal someone's wheelchair. And if someone stole a rollator or wheelchair, where would they keep it in their room that the steward wouldn't notice its sudden appearance. When coupled with an announcement that someone had taken it.....

I agree when leaving my wheelchair for dining or shows my only worry is it being in someone's way. Never gave a thought that someone would "take" it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I wouldn't worry about theft of a scooter on board. It would be hard to hide in someone cabin if it were to 'disappear'. In the dining room, if you ride it to the table, a waiter will take it back out to the hostess station. (Sometimes they ride it!!) They will bring it back to you if you like, or you just get it on your way out.

I've cruised with mine twice this year and never, ever, worried about it rolling away without me. Casino, shows, dining room, buffet, pool-side... staff would ask if I could walk without it, and offered to bring it to me if I'd parked it along the edges.

Plus, most of the public areas have security cameras.
